FINDING SUPERVISOR & PROPOSE PROJECT IDEAS ( Week 2 )




Activity :  Deciding and confirmation of supervisor and propose ideas for Final Year Project 1. 


Objective :  Student need to confirm who will be his supervisor. Student also manage to propose all ideas about project for FYP 1.




Content / Procedure : 
1)  Student need to find an available lecturer to be his supervisor.


2)  Student able to find available lecturer. Student choosed Madam Siti Afifah as his supervisor.


3)  Meeting and have discussion with supervisor.


4)  Student discuss and propose ideas for final year project. All ideas that came to mind need to be presented. Student jot down valuable information as inputs for project and show them to supervisor.




Result & Analysis :
1)  Student able to present ideas on project to supervisor.


2)  Discussion with supervisor became handy and helpful for student as he gain more knowledge and information.


3)  Supervisor also helped student to decide either the project is suitable or not.




Conclusion :  As conclusion from discussion with supervisor, student need to find more suitable ideas and project to propose as FYP 1. More information, problem statement, scope and detail of project need to be find.

Activity : Submitting the draft of FYP 1 report to the supervisor. Objective : To ensure and help student finish FYP 1 report before the deadline. ESTIMATING COMPONENT COST ( Week 16 )

Activity : Estimating component and project costing. Objective : Help student to make a budget planning for the FYP project. Content/Procedure :  1) Student make a list of component that need to buy. 2) Student survey the price of components online and make a rough estimation. Result & Analysis :  1) A list of component with their pricing has been made. This is important in order to help student a make a budget for the project. Besides that, student can compare which seller or shop that selling the components with more cheaper and affordable price. This also help student to compare which components with better quality. Figure below show estimated pricing for those components.  Conclusion : Briefly, student manage to make a list of components that need to be used for the project.
