FINAL PREPARATION FOR PRESENTATION ( Week 10 )



Activity : Making final reparation before presentation. 




Objective : Help student ready for presentation ( FYP 1 Proposal Defence Day ) on 2 October 2019.




Content/Procedure : 


1) Student prepare themselves before presentation day.



2) Ask for guides, opinion and suggestion from supervisor.



3) Finishing touch up for the slides and print the slide.





Result & Analysis : 



1) Meeting with supervisor. Supervisor help by giving suggestion what missing input that need to be included in the slide. After the meeting, student add another input which are : 

  • Estimated cost 
  • Methodology ( Components used )
  • Slide page


Methodology are included inside the slide but being hide first during presentation session. It is a preparation for Q & A session with assessors if they ask what components are used. Research for the components used and its price has been conducted.




2) Supervisor also ask student to make correction for certain part which is the introduction and literature review. The introduction need to be shorter, compact and different from background of project. Use table for making literature review slide which contain their tittle, description, advantage and disadvantage. Supervisor also ask student to make a little correction for flowchart and block diagram.

3) List of assessors was announced. The assessor is Assoc Prof Dr Sabry Mohamad and Sir Hisham. Student prepare himself for presentation day. Slides has been printed for assessors reference.




Conclusion : Student manage to prepare for FYP1 Proposal Defence Day. The presentation session went smoothly. The suggestion and opinion from assessors have been recorded for future purposes.

Activity : Submitting the draft of FYP 1 report to the supervisor. Objective : To ensure and help student finish FYP 1 report before the deadline. ESTIMATING COMPONENT COST ( Week 16 )

Activity : Estimating component and project costing. Objective : Help student to make a budget planning for the FYP project. Content/Procedure :  1) Student make a list of component that need to buy. 2) Student survey the price of components online and make a rough estimation. Result & Analysis :  1) A list of component with their pricing has been made. This is important in order to help student a make a budget for the project. Besides that, student can compare which seller or shop that selling the components with more cheaper and affordable price. This also help student to compare which components with better quality. Figure below show estimated pricing for those components.  Conclusion : Briefly, student manage to make a list of components that need to be used for the project.
